Our Story At the age 14, Marianne Barsi was a neophyte chef at the elbows of her mother and grandmother. Later, she trained under well-known chef Lou Costa at the former Lou Costa's Restaurant in Thomaston and with Ron Iaccviella at the former Changes Restaurant in Waterbury. For many years now she has stood shoulder to shoulder with the best of chefs and has garnered the respect of the local dining public at her various restaurants, beginning at age 21 at the Happy Luncheonette on North Main Street, then at Somewhere on East Main Street, Barsi's in Woodbury and finally opening Zia's Cucina in Waterbury five years ago. Marianne and her brother Robert invite you to their newest restaurant and to enjoy over 35 years of culinary expertise. Vive Bene - Spesso L'Amore - Di Risata Molto
